Freeze dried food can be kept up to 25 years if stored in the right conditions. Freeze dried food needs to be kept in a cool dark place for optimum keeping time. No refrigeration is needed.

  1. When completely freeze dried package the food into moisture and oxygen proof packaging like mylar bags or glass containers using oxygen absorbers and seal up. The oxygen absorbers will remove the oxygen from the bag/container but leave in the nitrogen. Keep in a cool dark place as light and heat can affect the length of keeping time.
  2.  For convenience place food in glass jars and containers for shorter term storage or immediate use.
  3. When ready to eat add water to the food to regain its original freshness, nutrition and appearance.
