The CryoDry® CD8 freeze dryer is a versatile and user-friendly freeze dryer that delivers full control over the freeze-drying process. Perfect for home use and also for commercial, pharmaceutical or the laboratory too.

With a manual or automatic operation mode this freeze dryer can be easily programmed with 12 programs each with up to 16 steps, for customizable recipes.  The CD8 comes with 4 preset programs.

The CD8 boasts 8 kg ice capacity, with up to 4 kg of ice removed from the product per 24 hours.

All-in-one-Process – In the past users have been forced to freeze their product in poorly controlled environments (such as deep freezers), and then transfer into a lyophiliser for drying. This causes undesirable ice formation and potentially product transfer related melt-back – both of which negatively impact on drying behaviour, performance and, ultimately, product quality.
Autodry – The new and innovative autodry mode is perfect for beginners or users who do not want to setup their own drying programs. The program uses an advanced algorithm to determine drying progress. It automatically adapts drying parameters and identifies process end.
Easy-Load – Easy to load and unload cupboard style chamber.
Fast – Cooled and heated shelves for fast freezing and even faster drying. Typical time savings of more than 60% (based on in-house study, compared with passive systems)

Interchangable Shelves

There are five electrically heated shelf options of  9, 7, 5 , 3 or 1 shelf  with shelf distances from 16mm to 188mm. Simply unplug your existing shelf unit and plug in a different one with the simple plug and play interchange.  So whether you are doing a run with small portions, candy, or higher larger portions there is a tray configuration to suit.
The CD8 freeze dryer comes standard with 5 shelf unit and 5 stainless steel trays, which are durable and easy to clean.  Shelf stack configurations can be purchased as accessories.

Natural Refriferant

Use of R290 refrigerant is environmentally friendly with minimal carbon footprint and ultra llow greenhouse warming potential.  Guaranteed long term availability unlike ozone depleting CFC and HC.It is easy and affordable to service.

Pump Options

There are 4 available pump options, 2 oiled and 2 oil less scroll pump. The strong door seal allows usage of smaller quieter vacuum pumps which in turn reduces power consumption and less noise.

This option is with the CryoDry Value Pump.
