Description

  The CryoDry® CD8 Home freeze dryer is a versatile and user-friendly freeze dryer that delivers full control of the freeze drying process with remote control access and remote support.

It is a certified food safe with global electrical safety certification commercial grade freeze dryer perfect for home use, commercial, pharmaceutical or the laboratory too.

With manual, programmed or autodry automatic operation modes this freeze dryer can be easily programmed with customisable recipes.

The CD8 Home has USA-A and Wi-Fi interfaces allowing the user remote control to monitor, control and program from any standard website browser without needing special software or an app. You also get real time alerts by SMS and email.

The CD8 Home has a 9.6kg product capacity per cycle run with and ice condenser capacity of 8kg. The condenser can remove up to 4 kg of ice from the product per 24 hours. Sandwich shelf design with no harmful heater adhesives and accurate temperature control. With multiple shelf options of 3, 5, 7 or 9 giving flexibility for different sized products.

Compact Unit With Large Loads and Ice Capcity

The unit is compact enough to sit on a large bench. It can process up to 9.6kgs at 80% water content of food per batch with the easy to load and unload sandwich shelf stack. With an ice condenser volume of 11 litres being able to remove up to 4kg of ice per 24 hours.

All-in-one-Process

Simply cut your food to size, place on the freeze dryer trays, put the trays into the freeze drying chamber, close the door and drain valve, select autodry and press start.  The CD8 Home will successfully dry your food and tell you when the job is done! Its that easy!
Autodry – The innovative autodry mode is perfect for beginners or users who do not want to setup their own drying programs. The program uses an advanced algorithm and exact pressure control to determine drying progress. It automatically adapts drying parameters and identifies process end. Autodry parameters can also be changed  to your preference.
Advanced Modes – If you are an advanced user wanting specific control of the process for specialty foods like ice cream, candy or botanical foods there is the manual option giving that control.
Easy-Load – Easy to load and unload cupboard style chamber shelf stacks.
Fast – Cooled and heated shelves for fast freezing and even faster drying. Typical time savings of more than 60% (based on in-house study, compared with passive systems).

Remote Control and Updates

Web browser remote monitoring, control and programming of your CD8 Home can be done through the CryoDry Console with real time SMS and Email alerts. There is no need for any special apps or web browsers and you can access this worldwide. The CryoDry console is compatible with any device and operating system.

CD8 Home will let you know when software and firmware updates are available.  These updates can be easily implemented via the internet.

Interchangeable Shelves

There are four electrically heated shelf options of  9, 7, 5 or 3 shelf  with shelf distances from 16mm to 59mm. Simply unplug your existing shelf unit and plug in a different one with the simple plug and play interchange.  So whether you are doing a run with small portions, candy, or higher larger portions there is a tray configuration to suit.
The CD8 Home freeze dryer comes standard with 5 shelf unit and 5 stainless steel trays, which are durable and easy to clean. 

Shelf stack configurations can be purchased as accessories.
Choose from four shelf stack options:

9 Shelf Stack – for drying of liquids

7 Shelf Stack – for high capacity use with small product

5 Shelf Stack (standard supplied with CD8 Home) – high capacity, space saving, optimal air circulation (standard with CD8 freeze dryer)

3 Shelf Stack – larger products including deep well plates

Recipe and Candy Mode 

Candy Mode gives faster drying times with candy being done in a little as 45 minutes.

Create up to 3 recipes with the ability to name and track over time.  These recipes can be optimised, repeated and converted into reusable programs with graphic preview.

Power Outage and Food  Protection

If there is a power outage the machine will restart automatically when the electricity comes back on.  In case of other errors food is automatically refrozen to prevent spoilage.

Pump Options

There are 3 available pump options, 1 oiled and 2 oil less scroll pumps. The strong door seal allows usage of smaller quieter vacuum pumps which in turn reduces power consumption and less noise.

This option is with the Pfeiffer HiScroll 6 oil free vacuum pump. Pump weight is 19kgs.
